Sissi - Die junge Kaiserin (Sissi - The Young Empress) is a 1956 film directed by Ernst Marischka and starring Romy Schneider, Karlheinz Böhm, Magda Schneider, Uta Franz, Gustav Knuth, Vilma Degischer and Josef Meinrad. Second of a trilogy of romantic films about the Austrian Empress Sissi.


Plot
Sissi is slowly adapting to life as empress of Austria but finds it hard to live with her mother-in-law. The Archduchess Sophie is a genuine busybody who constantly interferes with how the emperor rules the empire and how Sissi brings up her first-born daughter.
